Software Tech is a looking for a System Administrator for a 5 years DoD project.
This job is Remote but need candidates from MD, VA and Washington D.C as some times you may be required to go on-site.
Must be s with Secret Clearance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide program management technical support, analysis, data management, and server management to sustain the USU operational computing environment.
• Participate in multidisciplinary requirements analysis to assess individual application / system / project needs and map to conforming, resourced implementations. Provide subject matter expertise to the group and leadership.
• Implement, configure, deploy, manage, document, and maintain assigned Windows Server systems and applications on a VMWare platform in accordance with organizational policy and task lead instruction.
• Similarly implement, configure, deploy, manage, and maintain Linux systems on a VMWare platform.
• Assist in the remote troubleshooting of hypervisor and platform stability issues, as required. Provide secondary support to VMWare platform maintenance and management.

Required Skills, Education, and Experience:

Total experience of 10 years minimum.

• 4+ years’ experience successfully administering Windows Server 2012R2 or higher in a regulated environment, including the use of Internet Information Services (IIS) 8.5+.
• 4+ years’ experience successfully working in a United States Government (USG) or Department of Defense (DoD) environment participating as a systems administrator in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process for system accreditation and securing systems IAW the same rules.
• Understanding VxRail and Windows Server Clusters would be good to have
• 4+ years’ experience working with fleet management tools for various platforms (Group Policy, InTune, Puppet, Ansible, etc.).
• 3+ years’ experience working in VMWare VCenter 6+.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience managing Java, Tomcat, PHP, and like application platforms preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow, JIRA and Confluence

• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
• Bachelor’s Degree (B.S./B.A.) or 4 or more years of equivalent experience.
• Must possess a DoD Secret Clearance
