DescriptionSpecific Duties and Responsibilities
Protect company assets and apply risk management experience to ensure Guest and Team Member safety.
Serve as Park Guest Service Ambassador and work to resolve all concerns brought to your attention.
Audit and maintain documentation regarding guest service recovery and till management.
Maintain records and produce use of force reviews of security-related incidents.
Routinely inspect all areas for hazards and other security related risks.
Communicate with Park management and Team Members on any threats that exist or may come to exist.
Coordinate with other departments to proactively manage team member and guest entry/exit experience.
Create and maintain Security and Admissions department’s expense and labor budgets. Ensure departments are operating within outlined budget.
Work in conjunction with the Safety Manager to manage Emergency Response procedures and training for Park personnel.
Implement and maintain the Security and Admissions manuals. Ensure all trainings are completed while reviewing training courses annually and auditing staff regularly.
Maintain that all Security staff is in full compliance with State and/or Federal licensing and guidelines.
Implement and manage awareness education and communication programs across the park.
Work closely with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
Serve as a liaison and manager of off-duty police officers working for Six Flags America.
Testify on the behalf of the Park in defense of staff’s actions, reports, and procedures.
Monitor department Team Member Voice survey scores and assist in the development of initiatives to address areas of needed improvement.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Reporting Structure
Reports directly to the Director of Operations.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Law Enforcement, Business, related field, or equivalent work experience required.
Strong background in Security and/or police operations.
In-depth knowledge of Maryland ordinances and law enforcement guidelines.
Licensed Special Police Officer or ability to obtain license within first year of hire.
Must possess strong organizational skills and be able to multitask under high-pressure emergencies.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with a team-oriented approach.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Will be required to work various shifts as project and park needs dictate, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Must have the ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel and lift up to forty pounds occasionally.
