This opening is for a Senior ISE Engineer in theMaryland/DC metro area to perform project-based consulting with various customers to design, implement, and support Cisco-based security solutions, as well as other providers.
In this role, you will assist customers with enterprise segmentation, comprising ofhigh-level and detailed design, implementation, operations, troubleshooting and issue resolution. You will develop documentation as it relates to project requirements and assist with or develop customer-facing presentations of technology solutions.We prefer those with the ability to write assessments, design reports, and present them to our customers.
You will:
Be an internal Subject Matter Expert on security technologies, particularlyTrustSecwithCisco's ISE
Be an internal Subject Matter Expert with IEEE 802.1x
Be an internal Subject Matter Expert on Private Key Infrastructure (PKI) / Certificate Authority
Assess, design, implement, troubleshoot, and document Cisco security solutions and related systems
Develop both high-level and detailed implementation and test plans for security technologies related to enterprise networks
Provide knowledge transfer and informal training to clients and co-workers
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security technologies, with significant experience working with Cisco's ISE product in multiple customer environments throughout the entire project life cycle of planning, design, implementation, operations, and optimization.
This is a direct-hire,full-time role and the successful applicant must pass a drug screen and background investigation.
Required Background:Demonstrable expertise with Cisco’s ISE and IEEE 802.1x
Must be able to work with end users, communicate clearly, and meet deadlines
Must be able to work with practice lead to coordinate scheduling to meet customer needs, sometimes juggling multiple projects at one time
Basic network skills with routing and switchingisa must
Able to travel within the region or work remotely as needed to support consulting customers
Stealthwatchexperience is a STRONG plus
Wireless background (understand how WLAN controllers work)
Good switching background
Experience with PKI and Certificate Authority
Network Security Experience with firewall exposures to (as many as possible) Cisco, Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, etc.
CISSP or equivalent certification
Certifications in multiple technology areas are a significant plus
