Job Summary: Looking for a Solutions Architect who has expertise in AWS cloud migration and architecture (e.g. application assessment for cloud movement, design, and plan cloud movement POC end to end) for a fast paced project. In this role the architect will evaluate and recommend specific products and platforms to provide cost effective solutions that meet architectural requirements
The Solution Architect will be the technical team member in our fast-paced growing environment supporting new business capture by developing innovative solutions.
Responsible for defining and driving the technical direction of prospective business opportunities, developing system architectures, and providing technical leadership for proposals and strategic pursuits.
Assess market-level technology trends as well as capabilities of complementary solutions enabling larger-scale solution offerings.
Ability to develop architectural blueprints, roadmap, strategy documents against transformational requirements such as cloud migrations, hybrid cloud setup, assessment of application movement to public cloud etc.
Propose new and innovative solutions to the most complex challenges.
Develop IT-based solutions consisting of contextual, conceptual, and logical architectures using standards-based, rigorous methodologies and best practices.
Capable of building & providing impromptu technical solution to client
Strong Back End skills including experience in building APIs, microservices, and database design
Front-end development skills including Single Page Applications with Angular.
Strong mentor of other team members for skills development, coding standards, and coaching.
The ability to create supporting documentation for solutions is a must including sequence diagrams, data flow diagrams and entity-relationship diagrams.
Develop technical approach and project engineering plans, including scheduling of tasks, and processes, and identifying critical resources, to turn the solution into a successful proposal.
Review customer-provided information and outside sources to understand potential issues/ problems currently faced and develop an approach to solving these problems.
Stay current on the latest technologies and solutions in the industry.
Engage as a strong Agile team member with the ability to impact process improvement, quality, and productivity of the team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in microservices, middleware/software integration, mobile, and web application platforms, authentication, and automation.
Perform POCs, identify potential solutions and help implement them.
Experience leading architecture of application integration, migration, and sustainment solutions involving understanding of software support, maintenance, and sustainment
Knowledge of requirements analysis and development to include requirements allocation to software systems functionality
Proficient in implementing Agile, DevOps, and other SW development methodologies
Experience in implementing and/or migrating technical solutions in AWS or MS Azure or Google Cloud for Federal / State Government Customers.
Exposure to the latest technologies such as Blockchain, AI, ML, RPA, DPA, etc. is needed for this role
Understand current production/technology strategy and environments in the industry and Federal Government using industry knowledge or customer-supplied information
IT-specific domain knowledge, including ITIL; End-user computing; Network engineering; Enterprise IT infrastructure
Knowledge of information systems engineering processes and, in particular, system design and solution development processes
Excellent verbal and written communications skills; works with others to coordinate efforts, resolve cross-team issues, and effectively communicate changes
Demonstrated customer interface skills and strong interpersonal skills including extensive experience working closely with teammates and customers to identify and develop solutions
Proven ability to develop system architectures and system designs of varying complexity for federal government organizations
Ability to lead and support technical design and architecture development. This may include producing designs including requirements discovery and analysis, formulation of solution context, identification of solution alternatives and their assessment, technology selection, and design configuration
Extensive technical breadth, through experience in the IT industry. This breadth should be in areas of application development, and IT Infrastructure/services
Strong Java development skills in Java 8 & 11.
Experience with Spring ecosystem including Spring Boot and microservice development.
Experience with Linux and various web and application servers including Apache and Tomcat.
Experience with database development including SQL Server and Java ORM tools such as Hibernate.
Background and certification in AWS are preferred.
Prior experience with containers and associated platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
Experience with other front-end web frameworks including React and Vue.
Must be self-driven and comfortable with customers.
Must embrace continuous improvement and personal development.
Must have a passion for problem-solving and researching new solutions to solve those problems.
Ability to self-manage multiple projects at a time.

Education/Experience Level: Bachelors or Masters's degree in a technical field. 8 yrs of experience as an architect
