Experienced Survey Instrument Operators who are ready to take the next step in this profession will be considered. Training will be provided to motivated and professional candidates.

Use the latest in Trimble Robotic Total Stations (S7, S6), Survey Controllers (TSC3) and GPS.
Job Description: Land Survey Crew Chief
Experienced in Boundary, Physical, Topographic, and Construction Surveys. Marine and Hydrographic Surveying experience a plus. Boat operation and maintenance a plus.

Position requires the ability to:
⢠Receive work direction, assist in effectively organizing projects.
⢠Communicate effectively with those contacted in the course of work.
⢠Follow written and verbal instructions.
⢠Perform manual labor such as clearing brush, digging, or shoveling.
⢠Move objects weighing up to 60 pounds regularly.
⢠Safely and efficiently operate and use associated tools and equipment.
⢠Work as a team member and foster a cooperative work environment.
Position Experience, Education, and Requirements:
⢠Any combination of experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying.
⢠Education - High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
⢠Must have a valid Virginia Driver's License with a Clean Driving Record.
⢠Must be able to pass a Federal Background Check to access local military bases.
Position Working Conditions:
⢠Regularly walk, stand, crouch or stoop; frequently lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move equipment and supplies.
⢠Carry equipment up, down, and across irregular terrain.
⢠Walk over rough, uneven, or slippery surfaces with or without equipment.
