Hayden Frye and Associates is an Equal Opportunity Employer and has an immediate position open for a Land Survey Rod Person. This is an entry level position to Land Surveying. No experience required. Training will be provided. This is a full time position with benefits and room for advancement.
Job Description: Land Survey Rod Person
Land Survey Rod Persons assist the Land Survey Party Chiefs in surveying and measuring points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, mapmaking, land division, and titles.
Position requires the ability to:
⢠Receive work direction, assist in effectively organizing projects.
⢠Communicate effectively with those contacted in the course of work.
⢠Follow written and verbal instructions.
⢠Perform manual labor such as clearing brush, digging, or shoveling.
⢠Move objects weighing up to 60 pounds regularly.
⢠Safely and efficiently operate and use associated tools and equipment.
⢠Work as a team member and foster a cooperative work environment.
Position Experience, Education, and Requirements:
⢠Any combination of experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying.
⢠Education - High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
⢠Must have a valid Virginia Driver's License with a Clean Driving Record.
⢠Must be able to pass a Federal Background Check to access local military bases.
Boat operation and maintenance a plus
Position Working Conditions:
⢠Regularly walk, stand, crouch or stoop; frequently lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move equipment and supplies.
⢠Carry equipment up, down, and across irregular terrain.
⢠Walk over rough, uneven, or slippery surfaces with or without equipment.
