If you are an ambitious and entrepreneurial individual with a strong interest in sales, join the Door Pro America team! We are looking for a driven and capable Outside Sales Representative to sell our line of garage doors and garage door motors to potential customers. In your role as an Outside Sales Representative, you will meet with prospective customers in their homes and make sales presentations. The majority of your appointments will be warm leads generated by a large, well-regarded retailer for whom we are the national contracting vendor. Prospects will have already seen the product in the store and requested an in-home consultation.


Outside Sales Representative - Home Construction Sales Associate


As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be provided with warm, qualified leads and pre-set appointments and expected to make between five and eight in-home sales calls per day, Monday through Friday. Sales calls will average approximately 30 minutes, and one-call closes are common. You will work out of your home and run the position as if you were running your own business. You will be given your schedule 2 days ahead of time with all customer information.

Your specific duties as an Outside Sales Representative will include:

• Making professional sales presentations and proposals to prospective customers via in-home, face-to-face sales calls provided sales-tools

• Identifying positive features and advantages of our garage door and exterior improvement products

• Conferring with prospective customers to determine their individual exterior improvement needs

• Measuring all areas to be improved in order to determine the most appropriate product for the job

• Meeting or exceeding assigned sales quotas on a consistent basis

• Monday - Friday appointments only

Outside Sales Representative - Home Construction Sales Associate


As an Outside Sales Representative, you must be a highly motivated and driven self-starter with a strong desire to earn and to consistently exceed your goals. You must also have a positive and engaging personality as well as the tenacious attitude necessary to go for the close during every sales call. It is also vital for your role as an Outside Sales Representative that you are exceptionally organized and able to manage your time effectively in order to maximize your sales opportunities. Previous experience with garage doors and other exterior improvements is helpful but not required, as you will receive full technical training to familiarize you with our product line.

Specific qualifications for the Outside Sales Representative position include:

• High School degree - Bachelor's degree strongly preferred

• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PPT

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

• Ability to pass a criminal background check

• Previous sales experience a plus

• General construction knowledge a plus
