Network and Operations Engineer, Mid
Key Role:
Monitor network administration and maintenance operations and resolve network incidents to ensure the smooth-running of the network operation center. Apply specific functional, working, and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions for a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance and review or guide the activities of more junior employees.
Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with designing, analyzing, configuring, or troubleshooting IP networks and Cybersecurity
-Ability to manage and report on multiple projects for stakeholder reporting
-Ability to coordinate and schedule meetings with various clients, including international clients
-Ability to work with vendors to generate support cases
-Ability to coordinate and manage lab facility work requests
-Secret clearance required
-HS diploma or GED required
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with multiple network protocols, including MPLS, BGP, ISIS, VRF, VLANs, GRE tunnels, port aggregation, Route Maps, ACLs, RADIUS, and Multicast
-Experience with Cisco and Juniper networking devices, Firewalls, and HAIPE devices
-Knowledge of existing DoD network services or network implementations
-Knowledge of Cybersecurity principles and best practices
-Ability to collect, consolidate, and translate stakeholder requests into project requirements
-Ability to identify, quantify, and communicate project risks and potential courses of action to internal and external stakeholders
-Ability to provide on-call Tier support for 1 week about every 6 weeks
-BA or BS degree
-Security+ CE Certification
-CCNA Certification
