HPC Software Engineer, Senior
The Challenge:

Are you excited at the prospect of solving high-priority data analytic challenges? Are you looking to us e High Performance Computing ( HPC ) environments to solve these problems? As a sof tware engineer, you will develop and maintain sof tware components that transform and replace national security analytic processes found on commodity cloud systems onto HPC cl us ters. We're looking for people to join a team where you will explore the application of HPC systems in both data-at-rest and streaming data scenarios.

This role is more than j us t coding. We need a sof tware engineer who will us e their passion to learn new tools and te chn iques, identify and implement system improvements, and mentor teammates. Us ing sound sof tware engineering principles, you'll work with other sof tware engineers and data scientists in an Agile environment to us e machine learning, graph analytics, and other analytic te chn iques on both streaming and large data sets. You'll provide training, consulting support, or implementation guidance to other developers. As a te chn ical leader, you'll identify new opportunities to us e data analytic solutions to help your c us tomers meet their toughest challenges. You Have:

• 5+ years of experience in sof tware engineering roles
• Experience with developing in a Unix environment
• Experience with container te chn ologies, including Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with infrastructure as Code and other development tools, including Ansible, Puppet, Salt, Git, and Je nk ins
• Experience with cloud-based te chn ologies, including GPFS and HDFS
• Knowledge of Java, Python, Ruby, or Perl
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph required
• BS degree or 7+ years of experience in sof tware engineering roles in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with C
• Experience with us ing Atlassian Tool Suite
• Experience with Agile Scrum
• Knowledge of HPC general concepts

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
