Main Responsibilities:Core responsibilities include resolving technical issues with the equipment as it pertains to the process requirements, optimizing/improving the process equipment, identifying root causes for deviations, defining corrective/preventative actions and implementing new/replacement equipment as required for existing or new (tech transfer) processes. In this role, you will be leading any Validated System Change Requests (VSCRs) associated with the equipment he/she is responsible for. You will be expected to possess strong technical skills and experience with biopharmaceutical unit operations and equipment.
Resolve/identify equipment related issues and improvements for biopharmaceutical production
Identify root cause, corrective and preventative actions for equipment caused deviations
Create/update Equipment Operation and Maintenance documentation
Select, design, and implement new or replacement equipment
Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, and validation activities
Provide technical support during cGMP audits
Train manufacturing staff on equipment operation
Assist with support of control systems
Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity
Works under general supervision. Follows established procedures.
Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy.
LIAISON: Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects.
Failure to achieve results or erroneous decisions or recommendations may cause delays in program schedules and may result in the allocation of additional resources.
Minimum Requirements:Process Engineer:
BA/BS in Engineering or Life Sciences (or similar field)
0-10+ of experience
0-3+ years of direct industry experience
Senior Process Engineer:
BA/BS in Engineering or Life Sciences (or similar field)
MS/MBA preferred
10+ years of experience
3-5+ years of direct industry experience
