Company Background: Our client, a major employer in the area, is looking for a Software Engineer to be part of its team in its North American operations.
DESCRIPTION:
Develop software for:
Microcontrollers (e.g. STM32, Arduino, PSoC) - Real-time operating systems (RTOS e.g. NuttX) - Flight controllers (i.e. autopilots with IMUs) - Networking and communications (e.g. IP, CAN).
Develop flight controllers from block diagrams to software code, while conducting simulation, tests, and tuning of the flight controller.
Validate software ranging from unit tests, to simulation / emulation, to hardware tests.
Requirements: THIS POSITION WILL BE WORKING DIRECTLY ONSITE AT THE CENTRAL ATLANTIC CLIENT SITE IN MARYLAND THEREFORE CANDIDATE MUST RESIDE WITHIN 100 MILES OF THE SITE
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or Electrical / Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering required (MS degree is preferred).
Applied software development in aerial robotics or other robotics and mechatronics
Programming in C/C required.
Experience in linear control systems development, flight controls preferred.
Experience in PX4 strongly preferred.
