PURPOSE:
We are looking for a Financial Business Analyst in the Hyatt Technology group. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial record keeping, departmental budgeting and forecasting. The Business Analyst must have proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help the team make good technology and financial decisions. The successful candidate should have excellent time management skills, produce quality work, have great expertise in Excel, be a self-starter, and be effective at managing multiple projects and priorities.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Keep detailed track of departmental accounting transactions
• Track invoices and submit to Accounts Payable
• Submit departmental charges to Accounts Receivable
• Update and submit monthly departmental P&L to Corporate Finance
• Track and model license utilization to predict purchases for Corporate Procurement based on trending
• Create new models and modify existing models in forecasting and budgeting sheets
• Determine and submit monthly departmental Accruals to Corporate Finance
• Work with Corporate Finance department
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong IT business analyst experience (2+ years)
• Prior experience as an IT business/data analyst.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including and not limited with functions, macros, pivot table, etc.
• Meticulous record keeping
• Basic understanding of Project Management principles
• Basic understanding of financial management principles
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to learn quickly (business processes, technologies specific to project, etc.).
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Highly self-motivated and directed.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to maintain pleasant working relationships.
