Overview
The Senior IT Project Manager leads, plans, executes, monitors, controls and closes projects for the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO). This role oversees and directs complex $5M+ enterprise-wide corporate initiatives involving 15-50+ stakeholder groups across several organizational work streams utilizing Agile and Waterfall methodologies to deliver results. The projects can range from application development, application integration, infrastructure security, and cloud migration. Therefore, candidates with a generalist IT project management background would be most successful.
Responsibilities
Actively plans and manages large scale Waterfall or Agile projects holistically around scheduled program increments and milestones, scope, cost, resource health and risks while collaborating with stakeholders in key meetings resulting in successful project delivery.
Plans and owns project finances which includes timing implications and key payment dates while proactively reporting status, scorecard creation and fulfilling project analysis requests by using critical and creative thinking.
Leads and contributes to vendor selection and procurement activities under program manager guidance while identifying, producing and fulfilling resource and go-live operational plans to insure project success.
Prepares key documents, present business cases and produces other reports as needed while collaborating with stakeholders to bring projects through project funding conversations and initiation ceremonies.
Leads a team utilizing a matrix management system.
Required Skills & Experience
PMP-Certification, Bachelor’s degree, and 8+ years of IT project management experience – to include 5+ years of IT project management experience at a senior-level.
Experience leading projects in a cross-functional, technical systems implementation
Experience managing large-scale Waterfall and Agile projects
Experience managing projects with budgets in excess of $5 million
Experience in risk management
Experience in vendor management
Experience in financial (accruals, budgets, etc.) management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with numerous stakeholders and lead key meetings
Strong Project Management skills, communication and leadership skills, and soft skills
Demonstrate the depth of Project Management knowledge
Able to explain and articulate in detail PM principles and previous experience.
