Provide Oracle 11g/12c WebLogic Server administration services to multiple mission-critical applications. Some understanding of database concepts and database administration also required – 11g and 12c RAC

Support Oracle 12c WebLogic Server architecture planning, installation and configuration for performance and high availability

Support Oracle 11g/12c WebLogic Server application deployment, configuration support in Web, application and data tiers

Demonstrate understanding of Fusion Middleware design concepts, including SOA / BPM / OSB system, Oracle Forms and Reports

Interface with clients, attend meetings with the customer on various application issues and planning activities and provide recommendations and solutions

Perform capacity planning, system growth projections, and provide hardware and software capacity estimates

Provide expertise and recommendations on reference architecture and ensure applications follow the industry best practices

Plan and implement MW upgrades and patches to stay current and on supported patch sets and versions

Apply and validate one-off patches to the Oracle Home in response to functionality or performance issues

Participate and/or lead troubleshooting and tuning sessions with development teams, end users and any other required teams

Direct and control the adoption of system parameters for effective resource utilization on middleware resources

Tune and manage memory for optimal system performance

Assist in disaster recovery planning, testing and execution as needed

Provide initial deployment services, including all initial planning and architecture, installation and configuration tasks

Configure, maintain, and tune metadata repositories used by the MW components, including purge script deployment for record cleanup

Provide integration support between various components in the Web, Application, Data tiers, and the management zone

Support load testing efforts

Interact with system and storage teams to perform and validate back-up and recovery procedures for ensuring business continuity

Work with security team to ensure mid-tier security adheres to defined standards and industry best practices

Perform system monitoring to ensure system operation health

Demonstrate working knowledge of the Unix/Linux Operating System

Work with and assist various application teams to generate documents and maintain administrations manuals for application configuration and deployments in all environments

Create and guide application teams with RFC, Load Balancer Farm request, and Firewall rule requests for all pre-production and production environments

Evaluate and Assign IM Tickets based on the requirement and skill level required

Act as a Technical Middleware coordinator by interfacing with other teams and vendors, including application, network, storage, systems admin, load balancer, firewall, and security teams as well as external Oracle Support

Produce the overall technical design and build of the middleware application deployments

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:

8 years of ORACLE 11g/12c WebLogic Server administration experience

Experience working with Oracle Forms and Reports,Oracle Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Suite,Oracle Business Process Management System (BPMS), and/orOracle WebCenter SuiteMust be familiar with Solaris and Red Hat Linux andWindows server (2003, 2008, and 2012) operating systemsMust have a complete understanding of Fusion Middleware design concepts, including SOA / BPM / OSB systemORACLE 11g/12c RAC database (preferred, not required)Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearanceTheduties and responsibilities listed in this job description generally cover thenature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to thisposition.
