IMA is hiring Part-Time or Fee For Service, State Licensed Nurse Practitioners (NP's) for the IMA Group's busy medical office, located in Dover, DE.Job Function: Serve as a medical professional to evaluate and perform clear, comprehensive and concise medical examinations to Veterans who are seeking benefits for service connected medical issues. Compensation and Pension examinations serve the purpose of determining the amount of disability a Veteran might be suffering as a result of his or her military service.Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Perform focused and comprehensive C&P examinations according to Veterans Benefit Administration (VBA) standards
Examine and evaluate physical illness, injuries and /or conditions by taking detailed medical histories and performing complete physical examinations
Provide health assessments that effectively address the Veteran's physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
Review medical records
Order lab work, and conduct medical tests
Provide expert medical assessments and opinions for various medical conditions.
Practice in accordance of IMA guidelines of the policies, procedures, and the standards of care/practice.
Apply and adhere to Company Policies and SOPs, HIPAA and OSHA requirements and processes that allow for the delivery of quality services to internal and external customers.
Observes and upholds a standard of absolute confidentiality regarding the personal information of IMA's clients, patients, and all corporate data which may be disclosed as a necessary part of the employee's work function.
Be flexible, organized, and able to adapt to change.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for NP’s in all Lines of Business:
Able to read, analyze, and interpret information such as, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from physicians, staff and patients
Knowledge of EMR systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; basic computer skills; demonstrate organizational skills and multi-tasking
Needs to demonstrate consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail.
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with patients, staff and other health care professionals
EDUCATIONRequired: Master’s Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies
