Job Title: IT Helpdesk Analyst

Location: Silver Spring, Maryland

Contract-to-Hire: Monday-Friday.

Description:

Fastest growing IT firm is seeking IT Help Desk Analyst in our Silver Spring location. You will be the Product Support Specialist providing technical support on document imaging products (Copiers), laser multi-function printers (Printers) and Computer Networking. This is a part-time contract-to-permanent opportunity with a reputable company in the IT services industry.

You'll be successful as a Technical Help Desk Analyst if you love answering support calls and possess a hands-on background in solving technical issues pertaining to Printers, Copiers, computer equipment, and software applications in collaboration with your team. Responsibilities:

Assume full ownership of incoming support calls via telephone, voicemail, and email. Evaluate and resolve the end user's issue using the appropriate support information and documentation. May visit clients on Service Call(s) if called upon.

Be responsible for documenting entries for incoming issues, service request(s) and all activities that pertain to any existing issues within the call database software.

Review all technical information pertaining to supported products, including new and updated information as it becomes available. Potential exposure to new and fun technologies and website maintenance.

This person must have proven customer service / communication skills, a strong work ethic and a high degree of initiative.

Must be positive and outgoing, self-motivated and committed to building and maintaining strong customer relations.

Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.

Applicants must be willing to submit to a criminal background check, have reliable transportation / insurance and good driving record.

Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and push / pull heavy equipment.

Must be able to crouch or kneel regularly while working on equipment.

Qualifications:

Technical degree or technical certification such as, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, MCSA, CDIA+, Xerox, Canon, Oki, Ricoh, HP certification and or High school diploma.

Professional experience repairing and maintaining laser multifunction printers, and digital copiers such as Canon, Konica Minolta, Xerox, HP, Lexmark, Kyocera, Brother, or Epson are required but not necessary.

Experience providing advanced troubleshooting on computer equipment, software applications, and basic networking issues through phone and email support.

Ability to communicate clearly over the phone and to provide quality customer service support to clients, field technicians, and customers.

Prior experience as a Field Technician providing hands-on break/fix support would be a plus but not a determining factor. Entry level applicants are encouraged to apply.

Must be able to work as a team player. Multi-Tasking ability is required.

Must be able to visit Federal Government Offices without any issues.

Detail oriented, organized, and capable of working efficiently in a high pressure environment with minimal or no guidance.
