Who You Are:
An Electrical Engineer with hands-on experience in hardware design and has the ability to bring ideas to life. You have demonstrated that you can design and deliver in a fast paced product development environment. You're agile and adaptable but work with precision to ensure we deliver top-notch customer experiences, always.

What You'll Do:
As an Electrical Engineer, you'll be part of our Power Tools team located in Towson, MD. You'll get to:

  • Be responsible for implementing motor control platforms for brushless professional power tool products that satisfy end user needs in the Global Tools and Storage business unit.
  • Learn product development milestones in a world-class product management system from concept through design, mass manufacturing, and full product cycle life support.
  • Design new products and platforms, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures.
  • Effectively identify and communicate major technical and schedule issues to team leaders in a clear, concise, and timely manner while driving appropriate actions.

You also have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineeringa minimum.
  • 0-3 years of experience in Electronics design within a relevant industry.
  • Analog hardware design, troubleshooting, DFMEA, and hands on failure analysis.
  • Boardlevelbring up and troubleshooting hands on experience: oscilloscope, voltage and current probes, DMM, thermal camera, and equivalent equipment.
  • Power electronics and heat dissipation methods.
  • Circuit simulation with LTSpice or similar.
  • Brushless motor controls and embedded systems a plus.
  • PCB design using Altium or similar a plus.
  • Lithium ion battery management a plus.
  • Understanding of electronics manufacturing and design for high volume production and fault tolerant design practices a plus.
  • Ability to travelglobally as needed.
  • Good communication skills and able to self-prioritize tasks.
  • Able to clearly present ideas and effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
