5+ years experience in an IT role

Bachelor s degree in an IT discipline

Technical Skills

Integration Technologies

Infrastructure technologies, including cloud computing / SaaS / IaaS / PaaS technologies

Big Data Analytics, Data Architecture & Modeling

Web/Mobile Technologies

Functional Skills

Business acumen

Ability to communicate with engineers and IT professionals and be the bridge.

Ability to tie together solutions across systems

Engineering application domain knowledge

Requirements definition & management

Able to critique current processes and performance of existing systems.

What You ll Do
As an Engineering Systems Analyst, you ll be part of our Global Tools & Storage team located in Towson, MD. Specifically, you ll:

Key Responsibilities

Reports to Engineering and is the liaison between Engineering and IT. Is the Engineering counterpart of the IT Business Services associate. Helps engineering create and prioritize the list of projects. Oversee smooth handoff to IT. Monitor project progress. In the spirit of continuous improvement, identify and drive change.

Key Activities

Manage, maintain and improve internal engineering databases.

Work with new product development teams to identify engineering software and hardware needs.

Consolidate engineering agreement on prioritization of needs/projects.

Collaborate with teams to create business justification of proposed projects.

Communicate proposed technical design/project needs to IT team.

Validate proposed solutions, timing and cost from internal and external IT teams.

Work with IT to identify means to streamline project timelines.

Chair joint engineering/IT quarterly update meeting on progress of ongoing projects.

Work with applicable teams to troubleshoot issues that are causing progress slowdowns.

Provide feedback loop on lessons learned from project implementation.

Create data driven scorecard and provide data analytics.
