PURPOSE OF POSITION
Stanley Black & Decker is transforming its operations with a Lean-Led I4.0 approach that is agile managed. As a Senior Agile Delivery Lead you will promote this transformation for I4.0, operations excellence, and manufacturing delivery across the globe. You will solve challenges of strategic importance to the company and will maintain smooth team operations while managing delivery. This role is ideal for someone with exceptional project planning and management skills, ability to move fast, and a desire to lead the agile transformation at a world leading manufacturing operation.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead Daily Scrum - Help the team with goals and achieve objectives sprint-to-sprint
  • Work with the BU Global Ops leaders to align the team with the delivery roadmap, sprint goals, etc.
  • Ensure the teams have a healthy backlog by working with global operations peers (ie creation of priority sequence of epics, stories)
  • Ensure that projects are successful in delivering value and that each project follows timeline guidelines
  • Lead one or more Agile scrum team(s) following the defined agile methodologies using scrum, XP, Kanban, TDD
  • Track and remove impediments for the team as quickly as possible
  • Communicate early and often within the team and with partners
  • Measure team sprint success by using standard sprint metrics and drive team efficiency and productivity improvement through data points; coach on increasing team productivity by analyzing metrics (ie burndown, velocity, burn up, cycle time)
  • Identify risks and dependencies, both internal and external to the team
  • Create a documentation repository: Maintain up-to-date project documentation shared globally and conforming to global standards
  • Be a process promoter: Coach team members using agile principles to help in agile process
  • Organize cross team collaboration to understand requirements and desired outcomes to production issues
  • Handle difficult issues. Must excel at decision making, conflict management
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts within the team by implementing takeaways from retrospectives and implementing concrete solutions to make the team more efficient and improve delivery success
  • Apply agile values to ensure best practices are followed by the team(s)
  • Share and learn best practices with peers to increase the effectiveness of the application of agile practice in the organization
  • Launch and continuously improve the adoption of agile process, Jira Usage, and reporting

Candidate Background:

Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution

Work Experience: 5+ years of Project Management

Skills & Knowledge Required:
  • Significant experience (at least 1 year) with Jira core, Confluence, Jira Align, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Teams acting as administrator, SME, facilitator (critical Atlassian suite)
  • At least 1 year of experience working with in manufacturing / operations environment
  • At least 1 year of strong negotiation skills and the ability to get results through formal channels and informal networking within a global matrixed organization
