Job Description

VariQ-Conviso JV is seeking an experienced

Business Development Manager to support its business development organization, organized by agency, and Lines of Business (Cyber Security, SW Development, and Infrastructure). The ideal candidate will possess Business Development and Capture Management experience, and demonstrate the ability to handle several complex projects simultaneously while maintaining a calm, collaborative, inclusive, yet confident leadership style. High preference to those with CIO-SP3 GWAC experience.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Opportunity qualification, win strategy development, shaping and proposal development activities leading to the successful capture of business
  • Serve as the BD Lead and also lead Proposal efforts for tactical and strategic bids
  • Coordination with leadership and others to drive the process for responding to competitive task orders
  • Work in close partnership with Executives to develop a strategic opportunity pipeline
  • Conducting business intelligence and market analysis pertaining to strategic pursuits
  • Develop alternatives analysis across multiple areas (scope, requirements, design, development approaches, contingency plans, etc.)
  • Develop weekly reports on key project activities
  • Develop report data points to facilitate stakeholder decision making
  • Develop presentations as requested
  • Schedule and facilitate client meetings

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 years of experience in Business Development
  • Experience using a CRM such as Dynamics, Salesforce or other tool
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new skills rapidly
  • Ability to learn client business and processes effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to support deliverable creation using MS Office Suite at the intermediate or expert level skills in MS PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Word
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Understanding or training in the Shipley or other Capture Process
  • Proven record of success in managing complex capture projects throughout the entire Federal acquisition lifecycle from opportunity identification to response submission

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent business development skills with the ability to easily work across many organizations
  • Experience with GWACs
  • Proven track record leading teams with IDIQ/GWAC task order submittals
  • Proven experience building a viable pipeline
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and resolve issues quickly
  • Secret or Top Secret clearance or ability to get one
