We are looking for a creative marketing professional to play a critical role in Alertus’ growth. The Content Marketing Manager will report to the Director of Marketing and will be a key player in bringing our mission to life. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality marketing assets used to drive lead generation and empower our sales teams.
The Content Marketing Manager will act as our lead copywriter and content strategist, crafting engaging content for both online and offline channels ranging from promotional to educational and highly technical content. This hands-on role combines writing, editing, as well as content planning. It is also responsible for overseeing other content contributors’ work for accuracy and quality. Our ideal candidate is a creative wordsmith with a knack for seeing the big picture.
A Day in the Life:Own the Editorial Content Calendar
Build and manage a rich content/editorial calendar that attracts a qualified audience to our owned properties (including website copy, blog posts, whitepapers, ebooks, reports, webinars, infographics, and other marketing collateral).
Lead social media strategies to achieve marketing targets and manage, create and publish original, high-quality content
Determine content requirements (expertise from inside or outside the organization, other pieces of information)
Manage the ideation process with input from stakeholders across the organization
Write & Edit Compelling Content
Write emails, video scripts, webinar scripts/presentations, landing pages, and paid ads designed for lead and demand generation purposes
Monitor and respond to news and events outside the organization with quick-hit blog content.
Interview key stakeholders and create content for use with trade and other media.
Regularly audit content performance, refreshing, replacing and removing pieces as appropriate
Work to ensure content is properly tagged and optimized for SEO
Edit content with a keen eye and exemplary attention to detail
Grow new leads, including marketing-qualified leads, by converting site traffic through calls-to-action, landing pages, and lead generation content (including offers).
Develop marketing assets and communications that help differentiate our product and educate our target audience on the value of our solutions
Sales Enablement
Partner with key stakeholders for competitive intelligence and creation of data-driven insights/materials that can be leveraged to fuel sales
Work with Sales Directors to continually enhance and expand internal sales tools and resources to support the sales teams
General
Supporting marketing and logistics for trade shows
Undertaking individual tasks of a marketing plan as assigned
BS/BA degree in Marketing/related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years of content writing or content management experience
B2B marketing experience
Extreme attention to detail
Top-tier written and verbal communication skills
Strong critical and strategic thinking skills (demonstration of successful marketing campaign implementation preferred)
Experience writing web content (or a fantastic portfolio, personal blog/website, etc.)
Ability to meet tight deadlines
