Job Description

The AGS Technology Solutions (TS) Information Security Analyst will be responsible for technical and assessment functions in adherence to the Allegis Group security policies and procedures. The primary responsibility of the Information Security Analyst is to identify and remediate any technical security risk. They will drive AGS technical security initiatives from inception to completion, and complete tasks designed to ensure security of the entire organization's systems and information assets. They will protect against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction. They will provide tactical level response role for the Security Incident Response Process. They will work with end users to determine needs of individual departments, develop and implements policies or procedures, and ensure compliance through the organization. They will serve as a subject matter expert on standard information security concepts, practices, and procedures. They must be able to rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and remediates all technical security risks for the entire enterprise
  • Drive security solutions to ensure technology risks are consistently managed and eliminated Identify and drive AGS technical security initiatives from inception to completion
  • Anticipates and responds to potential customer RFPs surrounding security policies and procedures
  • Works closely with project teams and business users in establishing new procedures for managing access to and protecting systems, as needed
  • Reviews reports from various systems for the purpose of monitoring critical activities and responding to security events including inappropriate or suspicious activities
  • Supports audit activities by fulfilling documentation and audit requests
  • Contributes to the local data gathering, assessment and remediation work, as needed, for data privacy and contractual compliance efforts
  • Responds to customer security questionnaires
  • Owns and maintains documentation for security practices and procedures
  • Performs security administration, as required, for enterprise–level security systems including (but not limited to) firewalls, proxy servers, VPN solutions, secure data transfer systems, encryption systems, digital certificates, SSL certificates, etc.
  • Troubleshoots technical issues with security tools and controls
  • Implements approved changes to security tools and controls
  • Keeps abreast of current security best practices; provides input for improvements to the Technology Solutions Director

Qualifications

  • Minimum BS degree required – preferably in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or other information security or computer related degree
  • Professional security certification such as Security+, SSCP, CISSP, or GIAC
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Windows permissions as it pertains to securing and protecting resources
  • Experience with securing Azure cloud environments
  • SharePoint security administration
  • Experience with security incident response and remediation
  • Experience with contract reviews and appropriate redlines
  • Familiarity with common security frameworks including ISO27001 and NIST
  • Familiarity with database security practices
  • Experience with assessing compliance and treating security and compliance risks
  • Experience with implementing and maintaining ISO and/or PCI compliance controls
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel
