Job Description

This opening is for a Senior Network Engineer in the DC/Baltimore Metro Area to perform project-based consulting with various customers to design, implement, and support Cisco-based networks.

This is a full-time direct-hire role in the Baltimore/DC metropolitan region. In this role you will:

• Design, implement, troubleshoot, and document Cisco networks and related systems
• Develop detailed implementation and test plans for implementing technologies related to enterprisenetworks,including security, SDN, SD-WAN andwireless technologies
• Assess network and security infrastructure architecture and document findings and recommendations based on industry best practices

The successful candidate must be able to work in a team environment and have the ability to resolve issues independently. Other relevant soft skills: self-starter, good customer interaction skills, critical thinking. We prefer those with the ability to write network assessment and design reports, and who can prepare PowerPoints and present them to our customers –our work tends to be more assessment and design, with occasional detailed design and deployment engagements.

In short, we want people that have been there, done that, and can now share their competency personally and in writing, to help others improve, upgrade, or build out their networks.

Qualifications

• Strong skills and experience in routing/switching and one or more of the following areas:

  • Palo Alto/CheckPoint/Fortigate Firewalls
  • Network security (Firewall, VPN, etc.)
  • Cisco Datacenter (Nexus, UCS)
  • Cisco ISE
  • Cisco WLAN
  • SD-Perimeter, SD-WAN, SDN

• Some locations require US Citizenship to access Federal Government clients. You will need to be able to pass a drug screen and background check. Sorry, we cannot sponsor employment visas.
