Job Details

As the Electrical Engineer, you will develop reliable, cost-effective electronics to support our next generation of laboratory automation devices and robotic systems.

  • Develop embedded electronics for laboratory automation devices.
  • Conceptualize, design, build, test, and debug electronics for devices and systems.
  • Develop schematics, specify components, perform simulation, schematic capture, and board layout. Manage suppliers of components and boards.
  • Develop specifications, test plans, and other design/build documentation.
  • Participate in design reviews.
  • Develop and manage timelines and budgets for product development.
  • Interface with customers and other engineers for requirements, testing, and training.

Preferred Requirements:

  • BS/MS in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience developing analog and digital circuits, both schematics and PCBs.
  • Experience with system-level schematics and cable design.
  • Expertise with Altium and basic knowledge of Solidworks and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with overall system electrical design, PCB development, cable design, and motion control implementation.
  • Familiarity with servo motors, stepper motors, encoders, pneumatic systems, and other motion control technologies.
  • Basic familiarity with C/C, Perl/Python, and Matlab.
  • Basic computer communications (TCP/IP, RS232) and relational database familiarity.
  • Maintain the ability to work in a high production environment.
  • Demonstrated decision-making skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
