FacilityESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIESThe Lead Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for assuring inspection and/or evaluation of processes, materials and finished goods are performed to defined quality standards. This position will assure compliance to standards by conducting (or leading others), in mechanical and electrical tests as outlined by Sensitech technical specifications, and international standards.Duties include, but are not limited to:Quality – procedural, administrative, documentationLead/Direct Production QA Technicians in daily tasks and assignments.

Assure QA Technicians are trained as needed to carry out assignments.

Works cooperatively with other departments as required to meet quality objectives.

Participate as an auditor on the Internal Audit Team.

Confirm documented processes are under control by auditing the effectiveness of work instructions. Update work instructions as needed through document control system.

Inspects and approves quality documentation for shipments from suppliers.

Executes daily tests in support of incoming inspection requirements.

Assures accuracy of material balance in QA Whse, and reconciles variances as needed.

Generate and maintain quality records, reports, and documentation.

Provide monthly metrics, and detailed reports to management.

Meet and maintain ISO9001 requirements, lean activities, and Carrier X standards.

Quality – technical, data analysis, problem solving, communicationAssist in driving continuous improvement in the Redmond facility through data collection, analysis, and reporting. Collaboratively involve suppliers and internal resources as needed to achieve objectives.

Conduct mechanical and electrical tests using equipment such as an oscilloscope, multi-meter, and frequency counter.

Assure products meet specification by performing thermal tests, electrical workmanship checks, and mechanical dimension measurements according to technical specifications and international standards.

Supports required evaluation and disposition of non-conforming materials.

Monitor suppliers’ performance to established Sensitech quality standards. Identify and report trends.

Assist contracted manufacturers/suppliers through the process of problem definition, root cause analysis, corrective/preventive action implementation, and verification.

Provide enhanced diagnostics abilities of design/workmanship/handling, and trend analysis to determine failure modes, and identify root causes.

Utilize Sensitech Quality documentation and procedures to properly respond to customer issues.

Participate in generating transition plans for new product launch and support.

Assure Quality Assurance requirements for equipment maintenance/calibration, 5S, and EHS are identified and addressed.

Collects, categorizes, and reports fallout data. Facilitates DMR with appropriate personnel

QUALIFICATIONSAssociates degree in Engineering, Quality, or equivalent education/professional training along with work experience in a Quality/Engineering role.

Minimum of three years’ experience in electronic product manufacturing quality including supplier quality management, and supplier quality system assessment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent inter-personal skills, with the ability to communicate with co-worker, suppliers and Sensitech global personnel in an accurate and professional manner.

Strong knowledge in electronic product manufacturing control, and quality problem solving tools, such as 8D corrective/ preventive action, FMEA, etc.

Strong analytical and diagnostic skills.

Solid understanding of electronic component and product assembly processes in high volume industry, cGMP knowledge is preferred.

Ability to communicate with internal and external customers with tact and patience.

Knowledge of, and practical use of, SPC.

Highly organized self-starter, able to work independently, proactive, and willing to learn.

ISO 9001 and Lean quality system knowledge. (Certified Six Sigma Black or Green belt is preferred.)

Computer literate (Including, but not limited to: ERP system, Windows, MS Office, Visio and Internet).
