Atria Marina Place is an Atria Community located in in North Quincy, MA in the beautiful neighborhood of Marina Bay.

We are seeking an energetic, outgoing person for a part-time activity instructor position. This role will also involve some reception coverage and opportunity to cross-train for other departments (culinary, administration, etc.)

Responsibilities:

Lead assigned Engage Life programs

Offer adequate and diversified recreational activities to residents with sufficient supervision for each activity

Develop programs for residents including, if applicable, programs designed for residents confined to their rooms

Engage and motivate residents resulting in program participation

Greet new residents making a special effort to include and engage them in activities and introduce them to others in the community with similar interests and backgrounds

Assist in planning parties and activities, decorating the community according to the season and/or holiday, as well as planning monthly birthday parties to honor residents

Assist Engage Life Director in enlisting the services of volunteers to aid the activities program

Must be able to drive company vehicle from community to social and other various destinations as required by community

One weekend day is a must

Must be willing to cover front desk and perform reception duties as needed

Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three (3) to six (6) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience acceptable.

Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills

Must be energetic and have a positive attitude.

Must be able to work with difficult personalities and seniors with dementia
