Growing private preschool and independent childcare center has immediate openings for Lead Teachers / Teachers / and Teaching Directors in its Cambridge and Somerville locations. These opportunities are suitable for qualifed, nurturing individuals with early childhood education experience (E.E.C. certified preferred) and a strong passion for working with children. A HS diploma or equivalent is required. Candidates without E.E.C. certification may qualify for tuition and/or reimbursement assistance. Ensure childrens safety, well-being and happiness
Demonstrate strong classroom management
Maintain a safe, clean, child-ready center
Carry out center's policies and procedures
Submit a monthly journal of each child
Plan curriculum and instruction
Contribute to a bi-monthly newsletter and progress reports
Provide attentiveness to children's needs
Be flexible in your job description and take on additional responsibilities as needed
Additional Teaching Director Responsibilities include:
Mentor and supervise all teachers/staff and center
Maintain up-to-date records: teacher and student files, injury/illness log, fire-drill log, staff observations, trainings, etc.
Oversee newsletter and curriculum
Perform administrative work as assigned
Ensure overall well-being of children, teachers, and families
