Private family with a residence on Boston’s South Shore would like to hire a warm, friendly, patient, and dependable Private In-Home Educator for the upcoming academic year (2020-2021) for their two children (third grade and sixth grade). The successful candidate will have training and experience in elementary and math instruction at lower and middle school levels; additional background and experience in learning differences and special education preferred. Fluency in a second language a plus.
Both children are students at an independent school and plan to participate in the school’s remote learning option for the academic year:
The older student, in sixth grade, has an ADHD and a NVLD learning profile
The younger student, in third grade, is at grade-level
Primary responsibilities will include creating a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the children to grow and thrive. The educator will collaborate with the parents, the children’s school, and the children directly to achieve developmental and educational goals and milestones. The educator will also guide the children through their online lessons and assignments and prepare supplemental lessons while tracking and monitoring their progress.
Educational professionals with experience in elementary and/or middle school education and strong ability in one-on-one educational environments are invited to apply.
