Our Client is a worldwide provider of standard and custom test automation products and services to the semiconductor industry. This company is a great place to work as an electrical engineer. They are a small/medium manufacturer with a minimum of bureaucracy. They are seeking bright, talented energetic engineers to join their team and participate in the development of state-of-the art robotics, vision systems, complex algorithms and HMI/GUI interfaces.

IN THIS POSITION YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
  • Participate in all phases of engineering projects, including design, testing, system integration, support and documentation.
  • Participate in project reviews and design reviews as a member of the electronics team.
  • Design printed circuit boards to provide control functions and component interfacing to automation systems.
  • Design and Debug software controlling products and test equipment.
  • Support production activities including analysis, problem solving, implementing product improvements and documenting changes.
  • Interface with customers and sales on projects, as required.
  • Investigate, selects and tests vendor products for use in products.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, YOU WILL REQUIRE:
  • B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university. M.S. degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 1 to 2 years with a Master’s degree. entry level will be considered depending on course work and projects/thesis.
  • Required technical skills include:
    • Knowledge of best engineering practices and the ability to follow guidelines and processes.
    • Knowledge of electronic design and analysis of analog and digital circuits, including embedded controls, op amps, drive circuits and communication.
    • Ability to specify and source components such as motion control hardware, computers, vision systems, communication modules and temperature controllers.
    • Good analysis and problem-solving skills.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills.
    • Familiarity with programming PLC, vision, robots and servo drives.
  • Additional Desired Technical Skills that will enhance your ability to be considered:
    • Semiconducto Industry product development experience.
    • Regulatory design (CE, UL) knowledge.
    • Familiarity with PLC and/or firmware programming.
    • Familiarity with schematic capture programs such as ACCEL or EDA.
    • Familiarity with Draft Sight or AutoCad Light.
