Job Details
We're seeking a proactive backend developer who can also wear a devops hat when necessary. There's a lot for us to build and we need someone with a broad skill set who can jump right in to help us lay the technical foundation for the company's future.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties: Design & implement new features and endpoints in backend APIs Design & implement schema changes to support these new features Make basic AWS infrastructure changes via terraform (DNS, ECS, EC2, etc)
Must Haves: Must have led the design and implementation of multiple software deliverables in an agile environment 5 years of object oriented software engineering experience 3 years C# experience 3 years experience developing REST APIs 3 years experience with SQL-based databases, postgres a plus Must understand how to design a schema that will result in a performant application (example: when to add an index, and to which fields) Ability to participate in a Git-based development environment with standard work management tooling
Nice to Haves: ASP.NET Web API development experience Familiarity with basic ORM concepts (such as in Dapper) Familiarity with FluentMigrator Devops Experience Terraform experience Understanding of how DNS works, route53 knowledge is a plus Docker experience with multiple containers AWS Elastic Container Service (ECS) Understanding of and experience with cloud-based load balancers
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience Our values and culture that our candidate must have:
