We offer a part-time, permanent position for a candidate with a Bachelor of Science degree in architecture, a solid understanding of structural loads and wood construction, good math skills, and experience with CAD. We will give you residential deck and porch designs as CAD drawings, and from these youll create the structural plans (framing plans, roof plans, beam plans with load calculations, elevation views,¦) that our carpenters will build from. We provide our standard construction details and a library of example drawings, and we will train you to be successful. We provide the CAD software, which you will run on your computer. This is an ideal job for a professional who has other commitments: work in your home, at hours you choose. The workload varies from about 12 to 30 hours per month. You must be reliable and produce professional drawings, but your hair can be long, and you can work in your pajamas. We will pay you $20 to $24 per hour, depending on your experience and productivity.
