Supports new business development initiatives.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for collecting, analyzing and creating content of actionable, commercial insights through presentations, whitepapers and other output that positions CBRE as the dominant voice in the industry and market.Act as an active participation to support new business development initiatives.Provides analytical and collection support for global, regional and local research initiatives as needed.Provide content and, with guidance from leadership, may serve as the public face of CBRE’s perspectives on property and market dynamics in a specific sector or geography.Must be responsive to multiple internal and external constituencies—sales professionals, management, media, real estate associations, clients—by providing relevant insights on market conditions and trends.Performs other duties as assigned.No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Coordinates and assigns tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project team. Leads project teams and/or plans and supervises assignments of lower level employees. May have responsibility for identifying training needs, tracking performance, coaching, and motivating a work unit and/or group.QUALIFICATIONSBA/BS from a four-year college or university in economics, finance, real estate, business administration or related field of study. Masters preferred. Minimum 6-8 years of related experience.Minimum 4 years of commercial real estate experience preferred. Local market/sector knowledge/experience preferred.Excellent communication skills. Ability, both in written and verbal, to confidently speak to senior professionals in the company, clients and third-parties and communicate objectives in a clear and effective fashion.Ability to effectively present prepared information at speaking engagements and to client presentations.Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in complex situations. Requires Expert level analytical and quantitative skills. Teacher and student of cognitive thought process. Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.Must have a commercial mindset. Able to identify trends and think about the market in innovative ways. Can translate ideas into thoughtful deliverables that differentiate CBRE, our professionals and our products.Ability to work as a team player in a matrixed environment. Can navigate the dynamics of a large company, with a centralized Research function, while also understanding how to support/align global, national and local initiatives.Strong technical skills with a proficiency Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and amenable to learning new technologies and systems related to data collection, extraction, tracking and analytics.An expert understanding of Research fundamentals and methodologies. Knowledge of how to apply research and data analytics expertise to the benefit of our brand and core businesses.Must have strong project management skill set. Can oversee multiple large & complex projects, determine priorities and develop a through-line to completion, including harnessing the right resources and collaborating along the way.Works under minimal supervision to complete difficult or complex assignments. Acts independently to complete new assignments, determining appropriate methods for achieving desired outcomes. Confers with supervisor on unusual circumstances. Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
