SUMMARY:The Senior Salesforce Administrator supports the development and maintenance of the Salesforce platform. The Senior Salesforce Administrator engages with internal customers to understand their needs and deliver quality software providing measurable business value. The incumbent must have strong technical skills and/or Salesforce configuration and administration experience and be able to apply this knowledge and/or experience to craft effective solutions. The Senior Salesforce Administrator helps envision and deliver strategic solutions and ensure all deliverables align with business objectives.

The Senior Salesforce Administrator drives Salesforce development initiatives through full software development life cycle, including but not limited to supporting business case creation, eliciting and documenting requirements, supporting software development, performing acceptance testing and end-user training, and launching the product. To accomplish this, the Senior Salesforce Administrator collaborates with a matrixed team of Project Managers, Business Analysts, Software Developers, and Quality Assurance Analysts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Configure and administer the Salesforce platform as required to support small and large projects.
  • Ensure the Salesforce platform is enhanced and maintained to meet customer functional requirements and strategic business goals.
  • Serve as senior member of a matrixed project team and ensure timely, regularly scheduled delivery of user improvements and enhancements by effectively using a combination of Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Scope and prioritize enhancement requests with multiple stakeholders, including the Project Management Organization, other internal business customers, and senior management; manage and maintain product roadmap.
  • Apply technical knowledge and Salesforce administration experience to envision and design creative but feasible solution options.
  • Partner with Project Managers to develop, implement, and execute project plans.
  • Develop and maintain productive business customer relationships; be the “voice of the customer” to the IT project team and with project team members (Project Managers, Business Analysts, Quality Assurance Analysts, and Software Developers); support development and delivery in a collaborative manner.
  • Ensure business and operational readiness for deployment of system enhancements, new products, and process changes; support end-user training.
  • Respond to customer issues and ensure they receive prompt, efficient service; assume ultimate responsibility for customer satisfaction.
  • Drive analysis to support business case creation.
  • Provide guidance and support to other team members; serve as backup for the Salesforce Administration Lead.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Able to provide technical direction and drive innovation amidst uncertainty and ambiguity.
  • Experience as the Salesforce expert relative to area of responsibilities.
  • Proven success bringing robust, scalable, easy to use Salesforce solutions to market.
  • Strong, working knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and other IT project management methodologies, with experience leading cross-functional projects.
  • Firm understanding of IT and business concepts with ability to evaluate the impact of business changes on systems.
  • Strong personal organization, planning, and project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks to meet requirements and deadlines.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and related tools (e.g., Visio, Project, OneNote, etc.).
  • Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
  • Strong follow-up skills; ability to organize applicable timelines and follow up with internal and external customer needs.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong track record of building and maintaining solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated; able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to requests and with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify high quality solutions.
  • Success working in a time-sensitive, high-volume environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years of product management and/or system administration experience required.
  • Minimum 3 years of Salesforce Administration experience required.
  • Tower industry, operations, leasing, or real estate experience preferred.

ENVIRONMENT:Approximately 100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Approximately 5% travel may be required in support of the position’s responsibilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to feel and handle, reach with arms and hands, talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel and crouch, lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds.
