8 roles IMMEDIATELY being hired for.

We are hiring all levels of experience from super sharp recent grads (with at least 2 strong computer science oriented internships/co-ops completed) to a Director type (player/coach) who can code and mentor this fast growing team > and several roles in between those two extremes (1-15 years of coding experience). Again, roles exist for Associate Software Engineers, Associate Data Engineers to a Lead/Director of Engineering and everything in between.
We have 2 teams hiring - a full stack Software Engineering team and a Data Engineering team.
Our client develops very complex data centric work in the healthcare space - they have raised significant funding, are

ALREADY PROFITABLE, yet still offer equity and have a brilliant, geographically dispersed team across the Northeast.
We have two teams and several different roles on each team - a few base technologies & personality traits are common between both:

• Python, SQL coding skills , Unix/Linux

• Self driven - you can figure out what you need to do, and get it done

• Personal interest in functional languages and/or new languages - some tools they build have been in erlang and elixir - learning a new language should EXCITE you.

• BS in Computer Science or closely related field

The Data Engineering team does more modeling and machine learning work -but, it's still coding work vs. theoretical work - here, you might be using more R day to day with some Python - an "engineer's mindset" is still critical
We like candidates who understand “scalable code” - don’t want “rote code” - must be thinking about leverage and scalability, even if just out of school.
Senior people should be good with communicating to non tech people, defend the tech to audiences. Can the product deliver real value. Someone who has good software skills and can learn how to tell a story through data.
