EHS ManagerLocation: Boston, Massachusetts, United StatesRequisition #: SKA000BDSThe EHS Manager is responsible for ensuring working conditions are in compliance with all regulatory and corporate safety and health policies and procedures. Responsibilities may include inspecting machinery, equipment and other working conditions on project sites. Observes workers to determine use of prescribed and proper safety equipment, such as safety glasses, helmets, respirators, fall protection and other PPE. Proactively will support project team(s) in their engagement and management of safety on the project(s).The EHS Manager will project located in and around Boston and local communities.The EHS Manager is responsible for ensuring the overall working conditions and compliance with local and corporate occupational safety and health regulations and procedures.This level serves and supports all EHS needs on project and geographically as EHS subject matter expert.What You'll Do:

Creates, evaluates, educates, and administers the EHS program for all levels of employees;

Promotes EHS awareness and fosters this awareness throughout the project and area assigned;

Assist/conducts surveys, evaluations, inspections, and investigations of incidents and activities as directed by supervision;

Gathers information and correlates data as directed;

Able to perform field training when needed;

Develop and maintain project safety files;

Direct and supervise the activities of subordinates when requested to do so;

Participates in monitoring EHS standards and regulations;

Prepares, maintains, and retrieves records, reports, or documents that may be required to meet corporate or regulatory requirements, including monitoring application of EHS standards;

Promotes EHS awareness and fosters this awareness throughout the company, project or office;

Promotes the IFE Culture between clients, co-workers and subcontractors;

Supports all IFE Committee Initiatives on site;

Great understanding of construction and general industry;

Performs other duties as assigned.

We're Looking For:

Computer knowledge and efficiency, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office products;

Understanding of construction and general industry;

Exceptional understanding of Pre Task Planning;

Working knowledge of and administration of ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001 management systems;

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English;

Basic math/statistic & accounting skills;

Functions effectively as part of a team;

Ability to multi-task;

Accountable;

Dependable;

Effective Decision Maker;

Understands the influences on safety culture;

Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times;

Excellent decision-making/problem-solving skills;

Holder of an OSHA 30 hour certificate;

A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the field or in a related area as a construction safety professional;

Bachelors Degree (Occupational Safety) preferred, or equivalent experience and professional training;

CSP, ASP or CHST a plus.
