For more information, please visit www.thermofisher.com .GROUP/DIVISION SUMMARYThe General Manager-Flexible & Rigid Strategic Business Segment (SBS) is part of the Single Use Technologies (SUT) business in our BioProduction Division (BPD). SUT is growing and expanding rapidly as these technologies come into more broad application across development, clinical and commercial drug manufacturing. Our flexible and rigid consumables business is paired with our hardware and controls enabling our customers to drive faster biologics development, reduce time to market and implement more efficient and flexible manufacturing.POSITION SUMMARYThis is a global position responsible for the growth of the Flexible and Rigid segments by driving effective product portfolio management and innovation to maximize revenue and profitability. As the General Manager-Flexible & Rigid SBS, you will be an integral part of the Single Use Technologies (SUT) BU leadership team and lead a team of product managers.Key Responsibilities:

Meet and exceed revenue and operating profit targets for the business segment. Develop and drive strategic plan for sustainable business segment growth

Identify products, technologies, and capabilities needed to meet customer needs and advance market position; perform make/buy/partner analyses to identify investment priorities and recommend investments as appropriate.

Drive product life cycle and technology development roadmap.

Ensure alignment of all functions needed to support the business segment growth - commercial, finance, R&D, marketing, operations, etc. across the portfolio.

Lead a team of product managers to develop and execute a business segment strategy, including defining product roadmap, determining business priorities, launching new products, managing product life cycle, exploring business development opportunities, implementing strategic marketing and go-to-market plan and tactics to drive profitable sales.

Strengthen and manage global cross-functional business teams to ensure alignment on programs, manage issues and capture functional input relative to tactical and strategic planning to achieve growth objectives.

Drive Human Resources Review (HRR) process and supporting initiatives to hire, develop and retain a strong talent base within the segment.

Drive change management initiatives and champion a practical process improvement (PPI) environment.

Take a leadership role in influencing and driving accurate forecasting utilizing processes such as the sales, inventory and operations planning process (SIOP).

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or higher degree in sciences, an MBA will be advantageous.

Strong product and/or technical acumen, familiarity with life sciences and/or bioproduction; prior experience with single-use technologies preferred.

10 + year's relevant experience reflective of increasing scope and responsibility in related marketing, product management, commercial and/or cross functional roles.

Experience leading customer focused organizations preferable with significant experience managing growth in competitive markets.

Experience managing product portfolios, including driving product development with R&D and setting strategic direction for commercial organizations and marketing.

Proven ability to build high levels of employee engagement, high performing teams and bench strength.

A record of achievement demonstrating leadership capabilities in a matrix organization, as well as working with customers and commercial teams.

Able to work closely with Operations and Customer Services to effectively anticipate and contribute to resolving production challenges and confidently secure product availability and delivery.

Experience with strategic planning, forecasting, budgeting and analysis of business situations, competitive profiles and pricing analysis, preparing business cases for investment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills working with all levels of employees and leaders.

Travel expectation of up to 50%, including domestic and international.
