Role Summary:

The Need: A full-stack engineer with 3-7 years’ experience

The Opportunity: To contribute directly to the success of innovative cloud based unmanned aerial and autonomous flight operations ecosystem

The Stack: ReactJS, NodeJS, Java Spring framework, PostgreSQL, Redis, ElasticSearch

Essential Responsibilities:This position is responsible for designing and implementing innovative SW components for a set of UAV/drone operations management products. These components will be realized as both web portal and backend services within a distributed SW architecture. Development of software components is expected to fit within a security architecture framework that accommodates security features for client services, and internal services. A successful candidate for this position is expected to design and implement complex SW components within the proposed architecture which provides high availability, delivers fast service response times, and can scale. This position expects that the candidate can work in teams, and integrate SW designs and code with others. The ability to define and fulfill SW development tasks, and delivering in accordance with fast paced development schedules is important. Essential Responsibilities: Be responsible for developing, and evolving software in a fast-paced Agile development environment using the latest software development and infrastructure Participate as a team member with other developers in planning and execution and/or design architecture using agile methodologies such as SCRUM Work with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements & vision Support impact assessment and decision related to technology choices, design /architectural considerations and implementation strategy. Expertise in core data structures as well as algorithms and can implement them using language of choice when necessaryQualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

3-7 years of technical experience along with established leadership track record across disciplines and functions within a product/project

Excellent knowledge of Object-Oriented programming

Extensive experience with client-side technologies and single page application using HTML5, ReactJS, Redux, CSS, material design, JavaScript, ES6+ or other modern JavaScript framework

Ability to work independently and as a part of a team

Extensive experience working with progressive single page applications

Ability to build features from concept to delivery

Good understanding of modern UX designs and principles

Must

be willing to travel 10%

Must

be willing to work out of an office located in Boston, MA

Desired Characteristics:

Experience in Java, JVM, and/or other modern development languages

Experience with continuous integration, Docker, Maven and Jenkins

Experience with the practices and dynamics in Agile development process.

Use of documentation, collaboration, version control tools

Ability to evaluate and select technology to drive features and roadmaps.
