DescriptionRobert Half Finance & Accounting is working to fill a Senior Accountant position for a dynamic and innovative education company located in Boston, MA. As a Senior Accountant, you will be required to perform financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and reporting.This position offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to help you achieve long-term potential within the company. Apply oneself to various company-wide initiatives
Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP
Produce monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes
Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
2+ years of overall general accounting experience
Knowledge of US GAAP
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Proficient Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups)
Expertise with QuickBooks Online would be a plus
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
