Are you in the market for a new opportunity? My client is looking to hire a senior front-end developer to join the team! They are a leading SaaS company that offers top-of-the-line database management software and services that help companies integrate Postgres into their tech stack and maximize its capabilities. Their clients include major players like Mastercard, Sony, and DellEMC. The product team that is hiring is called BigAnimal, a fully managed database as a service with Oracle and cloud capability.
As a senior front-end developer on the team you will build out the UI that clients use to manage this product and view performance data and payment info using React, Typescript, and REST API's. This role can be fully remote, but for those who wish to come in they have an office in Bedford, MA. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, good communicator, and has a positive attitude!
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
5+ years experience in a front-end development position using JavaScript/React etc.
Built production applications using React against complex APIs.
Well versed in the JavaScript/ECMAScript ecosystem.
Worked iteratively from requirements to wireframes to running code.
Experience in a TDD environment, and the experience to know when testing is sufficient.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Understanding of the Postgres ecosystem, used/developed against Postgres.
"Full stack" experience into the backend/API layer (experience developing React based applications written in Typescript with understanding of REST server in express.js with GRPC backend services)
Understanding of running React/SSR on Kubernetes.
Data visualization experience.
Keen on Accessibility, standards based best practice & progressive enhancement in applications via modern CSS standards, and adaptive JavaScript code.
