AECOM’s Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building engineering, workplace strategy, business transformation, asset advisory, economics and development planning, master planning, urban planning, and landscape architecture.  Our teams have worked on signature projects such as the London 2012 Olympic Park and Legacy Framework, to the new plan for the LA2028 Olympics, to industrial facilities for GE and Rolls-Royce, to headquarters and workplaces for NASA, Unilever, Sony Music, DirecTV, Box, Inc., and many Fortune 500 companies.AECOM is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to be based in our Boston, MA office.  This position will perform site visits to observe and report on construction activities and address field questions as well as coordinate design and construction issues.Serve as the primary technical authority and advisor for assigned project teams, providing expert guidance on complex structural engineering challengesDeliver specialized technical expertise and rigorous analysis to inform all phases of project studies and design within the disciplineEstablish and implement comprehensive study and design protocols that ensure the highest standards of quality and cost-effectiveness across all deliverablesConduct thorough interdisciplinary reviews of all project deliverables to maintain technical integrity and compliance with project requirementsDevelop precise construction cost estimates and technical effort projections with accountability for accuracy and feasibilityExecute all critical components of the Plans, Specifications & Estimates (PS&E) package with meticulous attention to detail and regulatory compliancePerform rigorous quality control reviews of all design calculations and technical drawings to ensure accuracy and adherence to engineering standardsAuthor comprehensive technical specification sections that clearly define requirements and performance criteriaContribute to the development of engineering budgets and schedules, ensuring alignment with project scope and delivery timelinesConduct site visits to observe construction activities, identify field issues, and provide authoritative technical direction to resolve design and construction conflicts
