Job Description
The world's largest data mining company is looking to hire a

REMOTE software engineer to join their team for a 6-month Contract-to-hire position centered around assisted legal research.

This position performs moderately difficult research, design, and software development assignments for modeling integration and delivery. The candidate should have the ability to work in all phases of project delivery from initial design, code development, application testing and delivery to the production environments.

They are looking for an engineer to join their core engineering group to assist in new feature development utilizing C#/.NET, API Development, and Cloud. They are also looking for someone willing to learn their proprietary language.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years of Software Engineering experience
  • BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required
  • Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Strong proficiency with data manipulation language including optimization techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of multiple data storage subsystems.
  • Expertise in development languages including but not limited to: C#, SQL, Windows, AWS and Azure, ECL.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Ability to work well with internal and external technology resources.
  • Knowledge of test-driven development.
  • Ability to write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components.
  • Ability to complete complex bug fixes.

Daily Responsibilities
  • • Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.
  • Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components.
  • Work closely with other development team members to understand complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.
  • Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
  • Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • Resolve complex technical issues as necessary.
  • Keep abreast of new technology developments.
  • Design and work with complex data models.
  • Mentor less-senior software developers on development methodologies and optimization techniques.
  • All other duties as assigned.
