These events will be a mix of fundraising, community, and stewardship events, to be determined by the needs and calendar of the Development Department. The Event Coordinator will focus on few fundraising events with high dollar goals, balance of renewable and new donors, complex timelines and low barrier of entry for participants.Representative DutiesEvent ManagementEvent execution and planning

Prepare fundraising, event planning, production work plans, including all related tasks, and budget proposals, for each event as appropriate

Each event will have agreed upon goals relevant to level and market considerations for success to include:

total revenue

total net revenue

total guest attendance

attendance growth on previous year, and relative market performance

execution of the event

guest/donor experience

Event Related Technology

When warranted, work with data management to research, recommend, and implement technology for use by the event team in our work

Support other event team members as work capacity allows

Campaign Management is the basic technique combining volunteer management, data management and relationship mapping to draw out a clear achievable result within a given time frame.Manage multiple established campaigns spread across the calendar year. Develop plans for these campaigns with volunteers and development management

These campaigns should contain high concentration of renewable contributions.

Work with data management team to ensure campaign results tie to finance on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, depending on the size and scope of the campaign.

Work with Communication and volunteers to develop the unique messaging for the campaign.

Work with the director of individual giving to establish annual goals that reflect the action plan of the campaigns, and tie to the overall development goals. Goals are measured in dollars raised, total contributors, retention of donors and % of new dollars.

Attends all required meetings, in-services and professional trainings

Maintains professional competence necessary to perform job responsibilities; maintains and provides agency with records of continuing education activities

Serves on agency committees and in professional organizations when requested

Performs other related duties as requestedRequirementsAssociate’s degree or equivalent

2 years of experience in fundraising, event planning and production, or related experience

Ability to work harmoniously and effectively with colleagues, patients, clients and vendors across the spectrum of diversity, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, color, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, socio-economic status, national origin and immigrant status, religious or spiritual identity, disability (physical, mental, emotional and developmental), veteran status, and/or limited English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with leadership, prospects, donors, and/or volunteers in a wide range of roles

Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and complex deadlines, and be extremely detail oriented

Experience with donor management and peer-to-peer fundraising software

Experience managing and working with volunteers

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Ability to work occasional long hours based on departmental needs, including some evenings and weekends

Commitment to the mission of the organization

Ability to work harmoniously with diverse groups of individuals required

Experience utilizing social media and marketing for fundraising and/or event planning preferred

Knowledge of Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge for Windows preferred

Valid driver’s license preferred

Experience working with an ethnically, culturally, and racially diverse work staff preferred

May operate motor vehicles and light trucks including loading and unloading of supplies, equipment, etc. Greet and assist park visitors and provide information about the Program. Must possess a current and valid Motor Vehicle Operator\'s License. Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to work in a team setting.
