The Event Planner position requires an applicant with strong communication skills, exemplary social etiquette and effective computer knowledge. The individual must work directly with, and report to our management team. This position is hourly and part time, however it may be full-time and encompass more responsibilities including in house event coordination and sales.
Responsibilities
Sales and Marketing:
Assists restaurant in creating, maintaining a positive image
Build business relationships with offices and corporate clients in the local Quincy community and greater Boston
Developing and maintaining positive client relationships
Publicizes events, special promotions and other news worthy
events utilizing social media outlets
Generate new business for events and off-site catering
Maintain relationships with current clients
Business Development:
Research markets and identify event opportunities and
generate interest for holding events
Think dynamically for ways of generating new business
Prospecting, cold calling and develop a “book of business”
Increase off-site catering sales revenue
Outreach to local businesses
Event Coordination:
Able to organize time effectively, forward plan and prioritize tasks/projects to ensure work load is balanced and urgent situations are dealt with immediately
Presents ideas and solutions to meet client’s needs
Develop, plan and sell private functions
Work closely with Management Team and help coordinate and process event orders in all venues
Must have the ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
