The Center Aide/Transportation Aide is responsible for providing safe transferring and escorting for PACE participants going to the day center, outside medical appointments and on activity trips. The TransportÂAide will assist with the overall transportation coordination needs of participants including assistance with embarking and disembarking from the van or wheelchair lift, if required. The Transport Aide will assist clients out of their residences and to the meeting area for pick up by the van and serve as communication liaison between the driver and transportation coordinator at PACE. A portion of full time hours will be working in the Adult Day Health Center when not covering transportation.
Minimum Skills, Experience and Education: High School diploma or GED,ÂCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA) required,Âcurrent CPR/BLS required, must have one year of experience working with elders, Beginner/Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel, proven ability to resolve problems creatively, excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, ability to work independently and as a member of a team, ability to maintain composure during periods of high stress, Bilingual or multilingual preferred.Â
