Job Title: Dental Assistant – Dental Office

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled, reliable, and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support our dentists and hygienists in providing high-quality patient care, while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment. Flexible scheduling options are available, and we are hiring for both full-time and part-time positions.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Support

Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.

Prepare, organize, and set up treatment rooms and instruments.

Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment following infection control protocols.

Take dental X-rays and impressions (as permitted by state regulations).

Provide chairside assistance to ensure efficient, comfortable patient care.

Prepare and mix dental materials such as cements, composites, and impression materials.

Patient Care & Communication

Greet and prepare patients for treatment.

Assist in explaining procedures and post-operative instructions.

Ensure patients feel relaxed, informed, and supported throughout their visit.

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

Administrative & Operational Duties

Schedule follow-up appointments or assist with front office tasks when needed.

Maintain inventory of dental supplies and submit order requests.

Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and readiness of all clinical areas.

Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and practice safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications

Dental Assistant certification or equivalent training (state-specific requirements apply).

Radiology certification (if required by state).

Previous dental assisting experience preferred but not required for the right candidate.

Strong communication and patient-care skills.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented.

Work Environment
