Immediate opening(s) for a female personal care assistant(s) to work with a woman living in Coolidge Corner section of Brookline who uses an electric wheelchair and needs help with activities of daily living. To be considered for this position, you must be vaccinated for COVID or willing to work with Tempus Unlimited, Inc, https://tempusunlimited.org, to become COVID-19 vaccinated, as I and my two other PCAs have been vaccinated.
The available shifts for this position are:
Monday through Friday mornings from 9A-12P….15 hours/week
Monday through Thursday evenings from 7-9P……8 hours/week
You can select either mornings, evenings, or both shifts.
Some experience desirable, but not mandatory. I will provide paid training for the job. A commitment of 6 months is required. A bonus will be awarded when you successfully complete the six months. You must be able to legally work in the United States. You must be fluent in English, reliable, honest, and willing to go through reference and background checks before hire.
You will be paid $15.75 per hour every two weeks, before taxes, via direct deposit from Tempus Unlimited, Inc. Pay will increase to $16.10 per hour on July 1, 2021. Tempus Unlimited offers benefits that include earned paid time off and sick time, and free skills and health and safety classes (including free college tuition and CNA training). This could be an excellent experience for a college student in a physical therapy or nursing program.
The job is located close to the Coolidge Corner stop on the Green Line C train and the route #66 bus. A Brookline parking permit is available through the town Transportation Department. You will be working in a newly renovated building with air conditioning. The residence is clean and smoke-free.
Duties include:
Assistance with transfers to/ from motorized wheelchair; bed; shower chair.
Assistance with bathing & dressing
Light meal preparation
Light household chores
