About this course
JVS Boston is a local nonprofit workforce development agency. This summer, we have teamed up with New England Baptist Hospital (NEBH) to offer select candidates the opportunity to participate in a FREE 6-Week Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program with Guaranteed Full-time employment at New England Baptist, upon successful program completion.
Course Description:
This course is an intensive 6-week CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) Training program designed specifically to find and train candidates to become CNAs and work for NEBH. This course includes a total of 2 weeks of in-class training at NEBH, 3 weeks of Nursing Assistant training in Malden and 1 week of clinical hands-on training. It is designed for candidates with high or fluent English skills who want to work full time for NEBH upon completion of the training program.
Program Details:
Program Dates: August 19, 2019 to September 27, 2019
Total Training Length: 6 weeks for 35 40 hours per week
Classroom Training Schedule: 5 days per week from 9am 5pm for 2 weeks
Hands-on Training Schedule: 5 days per week from 9am 5pm for 3 weeks
Clinical Training Schedule: 5 days per week from 7am 3pm for 1 week
With this training, you can expect:
Guaranteed full-time job at New England Baptist Hospital to all participants who successfully complete the training program
Free training for all accepted participants
Participants who successfully complete the training program will be eligible to take the CNA State Certification Exam

Starting pay rate: $16 per hour

Participants will begin work full-time after successful completion of the training program and passing the CNA State Certification exam
Interested candidates should know:

All applicants are required to participate in a CORI, background and drug screening
Applicants must commit to a full-time 6-week training program
Must commit to working for New England Baptist Hospital for a minimum of 1 year
High School Diploma, GED, or translated foreign diploma comparable to HS diploma is required to participate

You must attend ONE upcoming CNA information session to get started. They are held every Wednesday at 12pm at 75 Federal Street, 3rd floor, Boston, MA 02110. Expect to complete a 1 hour Reading and Math assessment at this info session to be considered for an interview.
