Our local junk removal company is looking for an individual that can operate and lead a team of junk removal employees. This individual will have the ability to work in the trucks as a lead driver and manage their schedule, as well as supervise and manage other teams and their scheduling.
The responsibilities include:
Meeting with the teams every morning to review the upcoming schedule
Ensuring all teams complete daily truck checklists prior to starting their route
Managing our junk removal teams and holding them accountable
Overseeing the schedule to make sure all work is completed effectively and efficiently
Meeting with customers to provide onsite estimates and convert them into booked jobs
Taking ownership of marketing practices, such as handing out coupons to neighboring areas after a job is completed, and putting out lawn signs in high visibility areas
Ensuring all trucks and equipment are in good working condition
Assisting the office with any customer issues that arise
Training all new hires
Other responsibilities:
Have a full understanding of all disposal and donation facilities
Manage company yards to ensure they stay organized
Assist the office with reconciliation of all paperwork, dump slips, and hours
Assist with the hiring process as needed
Lead weekly team meetings
Assist the owner with any additional operational duties as needed
Experience & Attributes:
Experience working in the junk removal industry is HIGHLY desirable (we will consider someone with no junk removal experience if other qualifications are met)
Experience operating a commercial truck
At least 1-2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a home services business
Valid, clean driving record
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and think on your feet
Ability to quickly learn our CRM and app
