Interior Designer

Job Title: Interior Designer

Location: South Boston Studio

Type: Full-time, In-person

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage interior design projects from initial concept through to final execution, maintaining a high standard of quality and adherence to project timelines.

Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for successful, profitable results.

Develop and prepare detailed construction documents, interior detailing, specifications, and schedules. This will include extensive custom millwork detailing.

Sourcing finishes, furnishings and fabrics for residential projects

Designing and overseeing production of custom furnishings and millwork

Proficiency in reviewing shop drawings and submittals

Correspondence and coordination with consultants and vendors

Collaborate with principal, clients, contractors, and team members to ensure cohesive and effective project delivery.

Present design concepts and proposals to clients using a variety of media including Revit, AutoCAD, InDesign, and Photoshop.

Produce and oversee the preparation of detailed drawings and visualizations.

Conduct site visits to manage and monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure design integrity.

Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and best practices.

Required Skills and Experience:

Advanced to expert proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, Microsoft Office 365, MAC OS, and Windows.

Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a residential design or architecture firm.

Knowledge of construction methods and in the field job site experience required.

Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.

Demonstrated experience with construction documents, interior detailing, specifications and schedules. Millwork detailing experience, kitchen and bath design.

Strong concept development and creative design abilities.

Ability to create and present design concepts effectively.

Sophisticated ability to communicate concepts and ideas across teams, clients and vendors.

Exhibits understanding of the firm's design philosophy and brand standards

Desired Attributes:

Accreditation from a recognized interior design organization (e.g., NCIDQ) is advantageous but not required.

Exceptional organizational and project management skills.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

You must live in MA or can reliably and regularly commute to our South Boston studio for this in-person M-F position.
