Functional Coatings is a well-kept secret in the Merrimack Valley. The Functional Coatings plant here is 20+ years old with a small, family feel, but the benefits and rewards of a large, very successful company based in Germany. The equipment and shop floor reflect high German standards, which is very attractive to maintenance professionals.

If you’re lucky enough to get in at Functional Coatings, you won’t have to supply your own tools, we’ll buy you new safety shoes every year and supply your uniforms. The overall compensation is superior to most companies.

In addition to market-competitive pay, we offer a quarterly bonus that has averaged 10% of your pay so far this year (approximately, an additional $3,500 for the year). We also have a very good 401k that includes a 50% match. Benefits are effective within the first month and new employees accrue 13 days of PTO and 5 days of sick leave from Day 1, in addition to 10 company holidays.

The right Production Operator (2nd AND 3rd shift openings available) is expected to fulfill assigned demands as set forth by the Production Supervisor as appointed by the Production Manager. He/she is responsible for completing production related activities while achieving or exceeding the quality, safety, production, and continuous improvement goals. He/she is responsible for work safety and good manufacturing practices.

Diligently participate in compliance programs and or related activities as denoted by supervisor or manager.

Proven ability to set up and operate 2-3 qualifying converting workstations and or 1 mixing or 1 coating machine.

Proven ability to effectively monitor and troubleshoot equipment errors.

Physical Requirements:

Repetitive reaching overhead, under and across throughout shift.

Repetitive bending, stooping and twisting throughout shift.

Physical and mental ability to work 40+ hours per week and stand 8 hours per shift.

Able to lift frequently a minimum of 55 pounds and, potentially, pass a physical examination.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED, preferred.

Ability to read, write, and communicate, as well as perform basic math and basic computer knowledge.Physical Requirements:
